"Helping more people help themselves & others, by making more opportunities and more money for more people to help themselves and others"
I believe in OPPORTUNITY, FREEDOM & PASSION in life: to explore, go forth, discover & experience the world: connect, interact, communicate with it fully, record then share that with others; making a contribution through all manner of expressions and ethical activity; to inspire others to step out in life.
After quitting an IT career in UK in 1995, and before coming to NZ, I traveled for 2 years in S E Asia. Through immersion & exposure to some of the languages, art forms, philosophies, a deeper desire to travel & interact with people & cultures developed. In the last couple of years, I have also begun to explore & have the same feelings & experiences in Latin-America, where I am also now involved in a couple of small sponsorship projects.
By marrying my passion, experiences & existing sponsorship projects, together with a business model that empowers & helps people create greater residual funds & new possibilities, Friends of the World has been created.
My vision has always included the ability to continue to re-visit such places, connect with more people & opportunities there: break down our social & economic barriers: start more projects: not simply the 'give money to charity' type projects. SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
Paraphrasing JFK : "You can have anything you want in this life as long as you help others get what THEY want"

My favourite quotes:
"Be regular and orderly in your life (like a bourgeois) so you may be violent and original in your work" (Flaubert): "A Ram without direction is just a Sheep" (Linda Goodman, I think). I am ARIES !!|"Be regular and orderly in your life (like a bourgeois) so you may be violent and original in your work" (Flaubert): "A Ram without direction is just a Sheep" (Linda Goodman, I think). My philosophy on life is:
"I You're a dog, you gotta Bark!" I mean, being true to ones own nature and natural expression is vital for a healthy happy life. Knowing even what one's true expression IS is vitally important too. Pursue valiantly then what makes you feel good, and do not shrink from standing for that even when your own conditioned mind and/or opinions of others would have you betray your self, to keep them happy or keep yourself included, wanted, accepted etc....|"I You're a dog, you gotta Bark!"
