From the archives: Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber is a New Zealander of Native American Cherokee descent. She was born with highly developed clairvoyant and healing gifts and comes from a lineage of medicine men and woman.

A shaman and a seer, she is described in Maoridom by various highly respected kaumatua and traditional guardians or keepers of the old wisdom as being a ‘matatuhi - one who can read what is written in the wind’ and a ‘matakite, one who sees with the healing or the third eye.’

She has been specially chosen to carry the spirit connections and healing mantle for various ancient shamanic lineages. She was subsequently formally trained by indigenous elders from various countries including New Zealand in advanced shamanic healing practices.

From the archives: James Samuel of Waiheke island, is assisting in the coordination of a country wide movement called Transition Towns. James has been looking at the issue of localised sustainability within a small community.

What is a Transition Town?
Transition Town initiatives are bringing people together out of a desire to explore how we - and our communities - can respond to the twin challenges of climate change and peak oil. He states he doesn't have all the answers but believes the growing groups are very innovative and can create the required solutions.

Each transition group networks with people engaging in a coordinated range of projects designed to transition from high energy to low energy lifestyles in the most creative manner. Their aim is to re-localise our communities making them vibrant, resilient and truly sustainable.

Though not envisioned, this could also be key in emergencies, as in earthquakes volcanoes etc.

GreenplanetFM interviews Dr Bruce Lipton, author of Biology of Belief

From the archives: We interview Dr Bruce Lipton, author of the popular book Biology of Belief - Unleashing the power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles.

Stunning new scientific discoveries about the biochemical effects of the brain’s functioning show that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts. Dr Bruce Lipton, a renowned cell biologist, describes the precise molecular pathways through which this occurs.

His research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, revealed that the environment, operating though the membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off. His discoveries, which run counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes, presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics.

With recommendations from Joseph Chilten Pearce the Author of Crack in the Cosmic Egg and the Magical Child, Karl Pribram Professor Emeritus, at Stanford, with his theory that memory may be stored in our brain as if in a hologram, and Ralph Abrahams, Ph.D professor of Mathematics, University of California, Santa Cruz, Author of Foundations of Mechanics: Dynamics, the Geometry of Behavior and Chaos, Gaia, Eros. Who states...

“In this paradigm-busting book, Bruce Lipton delivers a TKO to Old Biology. With a left to Darwinian dogma and a right to allopathic medicine, he breaks out of the physicalist box into enlightenment on the mind/body (belief/biology) system. Must read, much fun.”

Great stuff!  I have watched some of Bruce Liptons DVD's.  Fascinating stuff, highly controversial to mainstream medicine! love it!  He is also apparently in Auckland lecturing at the Chiropracter school!  How did we get so lucky to have him in NZ??

Keep the great interview coming!

Brendan

I've watched a couple of Dr Liptons dvd's and he is so passionate about this work. This interview is no exception and is well worth listening to several times, to get the deeper layers and meaning that's hidden throughout.

Brendan: He is also apparently in Auckland lecturing at the Chiropracter school!  How did we get so lucky to have him in NZ??

Is he here now?

Following public talk by BRUCE LIPTON, Auckland Match 11th 2009 "SPONTANEOUS EVOLUTION" So good to see so many friends, colleagues and more last night, and I know many others would have made it if you could, and I wish you'd been there to hear what Bruce presented ("Spontaneous Evolution")   Compelling, engaging and the visual/graphics of his presentations seem to get better and better, as he leads the audience through his work and evolutions......

Without wishing to even attempt to para-phrase some of the great insights that became clear (for me) during the near 2 hour talk, there are a couple of points that I feel will resonnate, as much of his works now steers toward 'community'   Essentially developing from the stand-point that it is our environment, not genetics that determine our experiences and behaviours, he makes many analogies with cells and how the same cells, when placed in different 'cultures' / environemts, develop very differently : so how our perception of environment and earlier experiences of that, shape our thoughts, beliefs and responses to our world, it makes sense (to me) that we are unlikely to make any change, as Einstein said, with the same approach that created the problems in the first place.

As Bruce took us through a development of the cultural, scientific, religious influences that have shaped our western culture down the ages, he makes a compelling case that the current 'order' of the societies we live in are breaking down, and likely to accelerate far more in the next few years than we'd imagine (think of the law of 'compounding'  or 'snowballing') : Internet has been one of the biggest vehicles for exchange of information, that seems to have contributed to that acceleration.

What impressed me most last night (having also already studied a lot of his previous material) is the inevitable evolution of the single entity into the community.

A single bacteria gathers with others to eventually become a community, which is then called a cell...   A single cell over time develops from the simple organism to multi-celled 'communities'....our human bodies being one such (over 50 trillion cells).   He says the human evolution has almost reached it's peak AS INDIVIDUALS and that the next step (following the above on cells etc) is that we form communites......and the end outcome of total community down the line is a single cell of our planet.......then what would that single 'cell' next do.....you get  the picture !

So, as the old order, of thinking, activity, relationships, economics, organisations etc continue to break down, those able to adapt (not hold onto the dinosaur as it falls) are those who flourish and see the opportunities in this new world : people struggling to bridge the gap from old to new will seek out anything or anyone that raises human consciousness.

One person's crisis will, in the highest spirit, become another person's opportunity, not to exploit, but to serve; to add value and offer community and all that enables.

And finally, (and this hit home for me) Bruce literally talked of 'multi-cell organistaions' in business, replacing the current single-centred models: where co-operation is the modus operandi, not competition: multi-cell businesses and multi-cell communities, all prospering as part of our evolution   That particularly resonnated as you know with the 7 years of work I and other like-minded people have been slowly developing in business, but not 'business' as it has mostly been percieved up until now.

I confidently believe and predict more and more people will, over the next 2 to 3 years begin to come into community with those who are already establishing them, especially as means of livelihood, as well as a proliferation of new, ethical organisations employing the multi-cell, multi-level approaches and structures, which people like Bruce Lipton and many other leading thinkers....including a great number of YOU GUYS  are already developing.

Communites, teams working in harmony, where the only game in town is to prosper, on all levels, in service, and in harmony with our environment............and we know what a healthy harmonious environment can do to a developing being !!!!!!   !! Just wanted to share that while it's HOT !!!!!!!!

I so look forward to continuing to build our 'communiy' and conenctions, persoanlly and in the groups, like this email or these events, at which we commune.

With warmest wishes
Martin
