Thai Temple- Henri's travels

I find myself in Thailand again for the next chapter in the Balanced Energy story, getting ready for a three day workshop on Vibrational Medicine, the first module of seven towards the Diploma of Vibrational Medicine issued by the Monshah Institute of Mind Body Medicine.
As usual I found it nessesary to ask for permission from the spirits of this land, so I embarked on a trip to the temple of Samroiyod (close to Hua Hin). A majestic temple situated in a huge cave some 100 metres high.
The ceiling of the cave had collapsed 300 years ago, allowing the sunshine to stream in, this gives the temple a surreal feeling as you can see in the photo.
However the climb up the mountain to get there wasn't so surreal! First we had to go to an island with a Monkey Temple on it before heading to the bottom of the climb up to the cave.
It was a really difficult 500 metres of near vertical climb on man made and natural rock steps, that twisted and turned up the mountain, in the heat of a Thai autumn day. WOW. But well worth the journey.
It reminded me that the hard toil of the climb always leads to something more one wouldn't experience simply by sitting in the sun down the bottom!
And that is the aim with the Diploma in Vibrational Medicine we teach. Yes there is work involved that other courses may not require, but the understanding, experience and knowledge received makes the end result quite different.
