Listing your blog with Technorati

One of the more important things that you need to do when blogging is to list your blog with Technorati. www.technorati.com
You will need to open an account and then claim your blog by following a few fairly easy steps.
One of them is to create a new post and put a snippet of code in so that the Technorati 'spiders' can find the blog and ensure that it's your blog.
The spiders are looking for this; Technorati Profile
Once this has been found you will be able to create tags for your blog and a brief description (up to 250 characters).
Then each time you create a new post, go to www.technorati.com and 'ping' your blog to get it indexed straight away!

Creating a blog on Holistic Living - it's really simple to do

I just figured that the best way to "show off" the blog feature on Holistic Living would be to make an example post showing some of the functions, so you could refer to them later on.
For example, the text above is in blue using Verdana font and with a larger font size, whereas this paragraph is using the "default" font.
You can associate a photo/image with the post. (see left)
You can bold and centre your message!
You can do bullet points like these;
You can use numbers;
- To highlight important points
- To break up your text
You can add hyperlinks to other websites or webpages; here's a link to my favourite blog.
You can add pictures to your posts;
(make sure they are no wider than 620 pixels)
You can record an audio and/or video feed right from your computer!
- If you have a webcam connected to your computer, you can record a video blog post.
- If you have a microphone, you can record an audio post.
Of course there are smiley's 
Blogging is really easy and is a great way to get your message 'out there'.
