The 30 Day Challenge

Wednesday, June 18th 2008 @ 11:28 AM (not yet rated)    post viewed 1252 times

The 30 Day Challenge pre-season warm up has begun and the first 5 tutorials are online and ready to watch as videos.

According to Ed Dale, the co-founder of the challenge, more people have signed up in the last week than the total of the first two years challenges.

I must say, I've found the information being provided to be of a very high quality and as a full-time web developer and marketer have found some of the tools in the 'warm up' to be of extreme importance in today's web environment.

The challenge is for both newbies and the experienced in more ways than one, there hasn't been any pressure to watch the tutorials, however, I do wonder how a complete beginner would go in following the instructions that have been given, as simple as they seem to have been made.

When it comes to teaching someone about how to use a computer, I used to fall into the trap of assuming that something should be easy to understand because I understand it, yet for someone who has no understanding of computers and how they work it can be a daunting experience.

For a total newbie, even learning the difference between left-click and right-click or how to cut and paste can be a huge learning curve.

I'm not sure how Ed will go in converting total newbies into marketing geniuses over the thirty day challenge, I believe that when you are teaching people about computers you have to get into the mindset that you're teaching Homer Simpson, and from what I've seen so far, Ed would need to slow down a little and explain more.

This is why I've setup the Foundation Membership for Holistic Living for a limited number of people, to be able to give full support and training on how to use all the tools available in the way that each individual finds it easiest to learn, by phone, email, the forums, videos and even personal instruction.

Having said that, for those who are determined to succeed and have the time and energy to learn more about the power of today's web (and have some fun along the way), I highly recommend signing up for the 30 Day Challenge...

You can sign up for the Thirty Day Challenge here.

We have five members of Holistic Living that have signed up for the 30 Day Challenge and we are forming a support network (team) for the 1st August kick-off.

I'm sure that we'll be bringing our own 'holistic' flavour to the challenge.

Anyone who is interested in joining our team is welcome, go to www.ThirtyDayChallenge.com to sign up and then drop me an email (stephen at holisticliving.co.nz) to let me know you're in.

For those who are interested and don't know what the 30 Day Challenge is, it's a 30 day web marketing course that is completely free, uses free tools and the aim is to create a product from scratch and then make $10 selling it online.

Hi there

I have signed up but to be honest it might be more than I can chew at this point in time as there is so much to do already and computer stuff is not my strong point. However, I'll see how I get on and maybe I'll be able to do it when it gets to 1st Aug.

Blessings
Catherine
