Are you living in the Matrix?

Wednesday, August 13th 2008 @ 5:31 PM (not yet rated)    post viewed 3915 times

Have you seen the movie The Matrix?

Did it resonate with you when you saw it? Do you feel as if you are living in the matrix sometimes? Or all of the time?

What if that movie was far more real than we are willing to entertain? What part are we playing in keeping the Matrix in place?

What is always interesting in sci-fi movies along this genre is that the alternate reality or the "real one" is often portrayed as retro, uncomformtable and not pleasant, as portrayed in the Matrix. What if this is a lie also to keep us choosing to live within the grip of the Matrix?

What if being disconnected from the Matrix is the opposite of what we have been lead to believe? What would your life look like outside of the matrix?

What would it take for you to disconnect from the Matrix?

A thought occurred to me as I was reading this article:

What if the "matrix" is the opposite that we've seen portrayed, as Brendan put it: "retro, uncomformtable and not pleasant".  What if we are actually "batteries" for the "heavens" and everything worldy is used to fuel the energy needed for things spiritual.  Time and time again we for force fed that we as humans are just simply energy...this is used to explain clairvoyance, telepathy, ghosts, and other "magical" occurances that cannot be explained with modern technology or science.  What if disconnecting from this "matrix" is actually becoming one with Nature, having the mind of the Gods and Goddesses?  What if "heaven" is breaking the bondage that this world has on us and attaining true enlightenment.  Then we become what feeds off the energy created by mankind.

What is the most rewarding choice?

"Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action." Benjamin Disraeli

I like to twist this interesting quote to the following...

"Doingness may not always bring happiness, but there is no joy without beingness"

So what the heck am I talking about? Well, how many people do you know, who are doing more and more, yet they are so busy and still so unhappy. Always doing more in the hope that it will be the answer or solve their problems, and thus they can then be happy.

Very much the "do, have, be" syndrome. I.e. if you do something, like a high paying job, have loads of money, then you can be happy. Is this really working for people?

So what would it look like to you if you reversed that whole process. Just “be” who you really are, have whatever it is show up in your life and then do what truly is joyful to you?

This usually rasises the question of “how do I do that?” which of course is straight back into the do-have-be modality. Try asking this question, “What is the most rewarding choice I can make right now about ....? “ Fill in the blank.

Whatever “feels light” to you, choose that. I find it is usually the first thing that pops into my head. Sometimes it is a crazy idea or contrary to what I “believe” I should be doing. How strange is that!
