I'm unlikely to ever utter the words "I'm having a baby". But something close to that is happening.
"I'm publishing a book!"
And it really isn't so hard these days either, I've discovered. PublishMe in New Plymouth are doing a limited first-edition run of 25 for me, which will be in my hands in just a few weeks.
Well, ok, it’s the product of 18 months’ writing, typing and editing etc, but more importantly almost 20 years of resource-experience-gathering.
The end result is to have this work as a reference itself for others who may find themselves in challenging circumstances in life, but not know what’s happening, or where to go for validation and information.
Another way to say it is that this book offers access to a wide range of authors and material all in a ‘One Stop Shop’ way, distilling out some of the key and inter-related points, whilst weaving them in with my own illustrated experiences for continuity.
True to the title, "If You’re a Dog, You Gotta Bark!" is written in a natural, creative style, which I think readers will warm to: sincere and educational, though at times ironically humourous, brutally candid, frank but illuminating, connective and almost unavoidably unconventional.....
