Gratitude

Hello Friends
It seems that always at this time, having had another birthday fly around, and Christmas fast approaching, I go deeper into thinking about what it is I have to be greatful for.
After hearing some sad news about an old friend who had a motorbike accident, I found myself being ever so grateful for having two legs that work and support me and get me around.
After having some stinking hot days, I absolutely felt true gratitude when it rained, and helped to fill up my water tank.
After having some emotional turmoil, I am absolutely grateful, that I have such amazing friends to listen and share my problems and give guidance.
After having my poor cat, injured by a horse kick to the head, I am grateful, that she is strong and survived the surgery and through the ordeal, and for her strength of character and nature, strangely enough, it has fixed up her lazy and wonky looking eye she had before the kick, I chose her in the beginning because of her wonky looking eye, as I figured she would need extra love, and her white tipped tail that matched my dogs.
You know, I think I could go on for days and keep typing all the things there are to be grateful for.
Sometimes I think we take for granted just what we have and focus in stead on what we don't have,
So if there is something or someone who you need to give gratitude to, say a prayer, make a mantra, say it out loud, write a poem, yell it out to the gods, whisper it into your pillow at night, or pick up the phone.
Blessings and thank you to all of you for being a part of my life.
