Colour Therapy in Flight & 3 days to Akl Workshop, Are you courageous enough to come?
Friday, November 20th 2009 @ 2:33 PM (not yet rated)
In the beginning of October I flew to Sydney to attend the International Conference on Colour. Whilst this was a fascinating and insightful conference into the science of colour, I was also very pleasantly surprised by my flight there!
I flew from Auckland to Sydney with Air New Zealand, and imagine my delight to see that the cabin lights were in different colours!!
During the flight they turned on soft violet/blue lights. In colour therapy this colour creates a calming and relaxing effect on our system. This is the perfect colour to calm and relax the muscles during a flight and give a feeling of well being and trust; essential ingredients to a comfortable flight!
The purser told me that after a night flight they will turn on orange lights; the colour of the upcoming sun, to represent a new day and awaken their passengers. The first sunrays are always orange coloured and this colour gives us enthusiasm, zest and excitement for the new day ahead. Maybe that is also the reason that we often start our day with a fresh glass of orange juice!
How exciting that the airline industry now acknowledges that colour can influence the way we feel. It is more and more evident that businesses and institutions are learning to use the wonderful ‘language of colour’ to create, enhance and influence their potential.
You too can use the power of colour every single day to infuence your thought patterns and therefore also your emotions.
We already know that how you think influences how you feel. But how you think also influences which colours you choose to surround yourself with. So by understanding the colours we are choosing we can gain insight into ourselves. And by using colour pro-actively we can create the kind of life or emotions we want.
Would you like to attend a workshop that I will be giving in Auckland? BEING HELD ON the 1st of December two time slots 9.00 to 12 noon or 6 pm to 9 pm. Participants get a FREE COPY OF DRESS TO IMPRESS.
